The design of Bishops Vineyard Development has evolved over a number of years and reflects the high environmental standards and the quality construction that are hallmarks of developments of MC2 Group Limited.   

Winning the top award - Gold for Excellence at the New Zealand Institute of Surveyors Awards in 2011, acknowledged this by recognising the innovative features and challenges involved in developing the subdivision of 67 house sites set among 22 hectares of vineyards, bush and historic stone buildings.

The unique ecology of the native trees along with the rivers and its terraces have been respected and enhanced.  Design of roading, storm water and landscaping within the subdivision has been to the highest environmental and engineering standards.

The complete vineyard comprises 684 rows, with a total row length of 84,200.9 metres, the total number of vines is 56,465.  The vineyard is being managed under New Zealand Sustainable Wine Growing management principles and is being set up to be a carbon neutral operation.
